Scope of supply & Specifications
a) Manufacture, paint and deliver safety handrails for various Caterpillar Excavators suitable for site conditions.
b) To prevent corrosion, all materials, welding and exposed steel surfaces to be treated with marine spec corrosion protection, hot dip galvanizing (preferred) or suitable tectyl coating for unpainted surfaces.
c) Materials MUST be manufactured from carbon steel
d) Hot dip galvanized to SANS specifications
e) Galvo-grip primer to be applied with top coats as follows:
i. Vertical stanchions to be painted colour BLACK
ii. Horizontal rails to be painted colour YELLOW
iii. Kick flats to be painted colour BLACK
f) All sets to be crated for long distance delivery over very poor roads
g) All items within the sets to be individually wrapped to prevent paint damage
h) All fixers to be included
